Virginia Metalcrafters PR Brass Bruton Hurricane Sconces Colonial Williamsburg

The highly polished brass sconces were reproduced from original sconces found in early Williamsburg buildings. The sand cast brass holders are marked with the VA Metalcrafters logo and are numbered 16-22-1. The mouth blown crystal hurricane shades are rimmed with a brass base and measure 9 3/8" in height and 4 7/8" at the rim. The sconces extend 7 1/2 from the wall, attach with three screws.

And can be hung with arms up or down. The decorative candle cups fit into the arms to hold the shades. All of the pieces are in excellent condition. The shades measure about 1 3/4" at the brass bottom collars and the opening at the cups is 2", so this allows for a little wiggle room.

The previous owner had used candle adhesive at the bases to secure a solid fit. The Virginia Metalcrafters hurricane shades seem to vary in size from 9" to 13". A beautiful set to bring Old Williamsburg into your home.
