Pair of MAMELUK Revival Brass Candleholders Arab & Hebrew Inscriptions
Antique brass or bronze candle holders, Ottoman period, probably from Egypt or Syria with intricate metalwork. Though an identically formed pair, each has a different calligraphic inscription: one Arabic on two sides of the base and Hebrew on the top, the other Hebrew on both sides of the base. The candleholders stand 26 7/8 high and are in very good original condition. Base screws off from shaft of the candle holders. Is this a unique pair?
