PAIR OF DIRECTOIRE INCISED BRASS CANDLESTICKS. Circa first quarter of the 19th century Item # C104049. A good pair of Directoire period brass candlesticks circa the first quarter of the 19th century, they exhibit separately formed candle wells that remove from the stem over a ring-turned cup and tapered baluster with incised and pressed details over a stepped-out cove-molded footer. Both retain a warm oxidized surface patina and present beautifully. Measurements: 10 5/8" H x 5 5/16" diameter (base).
Condition Report: Surfaces oxidized and left with an overall natural patina; bases ever-so-slightly "out of the round"; seam visibility in the cup; overall good condition.
