Painted Dancing Fox holding a Duck Head Candle Holder Vintage

VERY RARE VINTAGE - Painted Dancing Fox holding a Duck Head Candle Holder - Vintage 1950's. This is an'original' piece.

AND it is truly Vintage! Though many sellers use vintage in their listings, Antique Dealers define Vintage as. Anything at least 40 years old. Therefore, between 1918 - 1978 to date. Antique is considered to be at least 100 to 299 years old. This item is not from Petite Choses, which appears to state their dancing fox item was made between 1990 - 1999, thus not vintage. I have seen a few Dancing Fox Candle-holders that appear to be replicas or knock-offs in my opinion. Many have faces that do not clearly resemble a fox, and some are without a ducks head. Additionally, many appear to be faded or simply are not designed with quality semi-gloss finishes resulting in rich and vibrant colors that have not faded with time. The workmanship stands fr itself.

I personally have seen only 1 piece that actually looks identical to this one in design, quality and vibrancy! This is a very unique brass candle holder. The unknown artist truly paid attention to detail and quality, which has stood up to the test of time!

The colors are vibrant, with no wear. This candleholder is in excellent condition with no damage, fading or imperfections.

It is a fox dancing. It's arm is outstretched and holding a duck head.

The brass is painted brown and standing on a green circular platform resembling a rich patch of grass. There is a label on the bottom of the duck, origins unknown.

The bottom is finished in a black felt. The label#: DR - Po6 - 6863. It is in excellent condition with no damage or imperfections. This would definitely be an interesting piece for anyone's home!

For anyone who likes oddities or the absurd, this would be a perfect gift! The owner of the one I mentioned above has no relation or affiliation to me. I came across this item on a fluke and questioned them to understand more about my piece. Since that encounter a few years back, I have never seen another to match ours.
