Most Likely Spanish this is a fine example of period metalworking in early lighting. Note the typical formation of center orb shaped turned areas, though this stem is wider than most others we've seen. Stands 5 1/4" tall with a flat squared base measurement of 5 1/8 x 5 1/8". Please consult the images for signs of original construction and condition.
The piece is present in its original as found condition, as such there is remains of old tallow and wax in the candlestock as well as the drip pain. Some general wear and signs of age, again this is a period 300+ year old piece! A great as found literally untouched patina early candlestick. Please visit our other listings this week for more early lighting. Sorry there are NO EXCEPTIONS to this New Rule.
