Mid 18th c. English Brass Candlestick (with Push Up and Petal Shaped Base) c. 1750

This great mid 18th c. Brass candlestick has a petal shaped base and a petal shaped bobeche. It also has a fully functional spring friction push up with a brass ball knob. The shaft was cast in halves, spelter soldered together and turned along with the solid cast base in a lathe.

The candlestick is in very nice condition with only a couple of very minor dents and the wear to be expected on a piece that is over 250 years old. 1750 candlestick is tight and straight and ready for use. It is 6.75" tall and is 3 7/8" in diameter at the base.
