These Big Beautiful Brass Spanish Candlesticks stand 10 1/4 and 10 1/2 tall with bases 5 1/2 diagonally foot to foot and 3 a side not including feet. They are either a pair or near pair, and come to us courtesy of a candlestick maker c. 1790, just about the time Charles IV acceded to the throne and began, in a strange symmetry to this pair of sticks, the catastrophic handover of the country to his wifes lover, Godoy.
