Vintage Jugendstil Design Brass Candleholder Sarreid Ltd. Looks like brass is back in style. This is a super unique RARE.
A one of a kind. A cannonball counter balance and paw feet. This is a rare form of classic candlestick in a form originally developed by W. Benson of London and Hammersmith, England circa 1910.
The brass ball is heavy and forms a cantilever to the candle holder. The brass sphere has a scrolled candle arm with inverted bell-shaped nozzle and circular drip-pan with three toed paws. The counterweight ensures that the candlesticks stand firmly. Heavy, solid and sturdy, made to last forever. In the Manner of W.Paper label sticker : Sarreid LTD #2423 Made In Korea. 12 long x 5.75 tall x 4.5 wide.
It is in good pre-loved condition but showing gentle signs of its former life. Minor wear consistent with age and history. Keep the vintage aged patina or polish it if desired to once again shine as only brass does.Please note that unless otherwise stated, all items that I sell are "previously owned".
