I do not specialize in antique candlesticks - I was told by one brass dealer that these are early English Victorian sticks made, at that time, to imitate 15th Century Dutch Gothic double socket pricket candle sticks - also known as 3 Kings candle holders. Another brass dealer told me these were German sticks from the 15th century. I will give as many details as possible - please message me with any questions you have - let me know if you would like to see more photos.
These candlesticks measure 13 3/4" tall, with base diameters of roughly 5 1/8". The prickets are 3 1/4 long, flanked on either side by hexagonal candle sockets.
These have some surface pitting and some marks on the prickets. The shafts are square all the way down to the circular base.
The underside of the sticks have hammered pins - with hammering marks around them. I never polish antique metal - these were polished by the former owner.
There are no repairs or structural damage. Please check photos carefully for surface condition. If these are Victorian, Condition is extremely good - if they are 15th century, condition is excellent!
