STORE CLOSING MAY 31st - IT'S NOW OR NEVER! Antique Victorian Aesthetic Movement Hand Held Candle Holders Griffin Sphinx. These exquisite handheld candle holders measure 5 1/2" tall, 5 1/2" long overall, and 3 1/8 deep. Great set in excellent condition, beautiful gingerbread patina with small darker areas probably caused by hot wax.

The amount of detail is outstanding. There is no maker's mark, one candleholder is marked 23 and the other 25. They have been well-loved, there are traces of wax. Hand-assembled from cast elements, they are slightly different and make a most beautiful pair. In the photos, any apparent misalignment in the design is due to perspective, not really there.
