ANTIQUE 17th C BRASS CANDLESTICK LIGHTING CANDLE HOLDER EARLY HEART SHAPED FEET

Original Late 17th Century Brass Candlestick 300+ Years Old with Heart Shaped Feet! This is a circa 1690 square base brass candlestick in a great early patina. Note the underside has four "heart" shaped feet!

Most Likely Spanish this is a fine example of period metalworking in early lighting. Note the typical formation of a hole on the candlesocket that would allow the user to work out bits of wax and tallow. Stands 6 1/2" tall with a squared base measurement of 5 1/4"x5 1/4.

Please consult the images for signs of original construction and condition. The spot on the center of the stem that is green in appearance is a piece of old wax. There is some slight bowing to the bottom pans.

Slight tilt to the candlestem. No major damage or chips, loss etc. There is patina, oxidation and wax/tallow to the piece. About very good condition with some general wear and signs of age, again this is a period 300+ year old piece! Please visit our other listings this week for more early lighting.
