17th C Early 18th C Old Antique Brass Capstan Candlestick Candle Holder

For your consideration is this heavy early brass capstan. Measures 5.5 tall, not including candle. I'm not seeing a maker mark, however a proper cleaning (which I didn't want to do) may show one.

Old wax residue on surface. Picture are part of the description. If more pictures are needed, please let me know. Thanks for looking & Happy New Year! Please note that I have had a question asking if this piece has been repaired (soldering, etc).

I honestly can't tell if it has or not. The area in question can be seen in the last picture. There appears to be a silver line, indicating a possible repair. Another area in question (small silver spot) is the very bottom.

I just can't honestly say for sure. Piece is early, there are scratches, nicks, etc, certainly not in pristine condition. Please ask all questions and I will do my absolute best in answering them.
