Vtg Chapman French Bouillotte Lamp Electric, Candelabra Candle Holder Desk Table

Chapman French Bouillotte Electric Lamp & Candelabra / Candle Holder. This beautiful Brass French style Bouillotte Lamp, from the well-known Chapman Company, has been TOTALLY restored to its original beauty!

It comes with the Double Electric Sockets and the Double Candle holding Candelabra and the original Tole (metal) Shade. It has the "Bakelite" finial (topped with Brass) and the "Bakelite" tension knob that allows the Tole Shade to slide up and down the brass shaft.

This lamp was taken completely apart and restored. It was professionally machine polished (4 step process) and had a new switch put on it. The new switch is actually brass as well (the original was black plastic) and looks (in our opinion) even better. NOTE: We have also included a vintage Polished Brass Candle Snuffer. The lamp came with a brass candle snuffer originally, but they are rarely with the lamp as the candles are not typically used. The knob on the front of the lamp is where it would have hung. We found the PERFECT Candle Snuffer, polished it to match the lamp and it hangs in perfect balance adding SUCH CLASS to an already beautifully classy lamp! The original sticker on one of the sockets identifies this lamp as a " Chapman 1972 ".

A bouillotte lamp, first used in the late 1700s in France to provide light for Bouillotte players, is a candle-holder made of gilt brass with an adjustable painted metal shade. 30 tall to the top of the Finial. The base is approximately 9 1/2" wide x 5" wide. The tole shade is 14 1/2" wide x 7 1/2" deep x 5 high.
