Vintage Brevettato Like Black Marble And Brass 7 Point Candelabra

HILTON HEAD HUMANE ASSOCIATION'S. VINTAGE BREVETTATO LIKE BLACK MARBLE AND BRASS 7 POINT CANDELABRA. DESCRIPTION : This is one very impressive, vintage candelabra.

It is done in the style of those bearing a Brevettato (patent) number but has only the "made in Italy" stamp on the base. This candelabra stands approximately 24 inches tall; sits on an ornate base of brass that is approximately 6 1/4 inches square and has an upper span of approximately 11 1/4 inches.

The weight of this commanding piece is 13.6 pounds. Done in beautiful black marble and brass, the candelabra has 6 ornate brass candle holding arms and a 7th brass candle holder at the top.

Between the arms at 2 points are brass images of eagel-like birds. This impressive top sits on a black marble urn shaped mid-section that is decorated with swags of brass held up by cherubs. The entire piece sits on a 6 inch square of highly decorated brass. Overall the piece has aged beautifully and exhibits a lovely patina on the brass structures.

There are some signs of wear as would be expected in a piece of age (some very slight dinks and scratches in the wax catching cups) but no issues that would take away from the beauty of the piece were noted. We have a separate listing for an identical candelabra that was received at the same time; they were very likely one individual's pair.

However, it appears that the other piece was more often used and has more marks of wear and several structural issues and is therefore being offered at a lower price. Please check it out and evaluate it; you might want a pair! Our items have been donated to our thrift store and we usually do not have first hand knowledge of the item.
