Pair Victorian Gothic Dore Brass Candelabra Sconce 4 Candle Holder 1880 Original

This impressive pair of candle sconces was removed from an 1860's gothic revival church in Huntington, Indiana back in the 1970's and are remarkably well-preserved with over 90% of the original dore finish intact with some scattered wear and tarnish. Each measures 12" tall x 12" wide x 15 deep and comes with the matching wall bracket that allows the arm to swivel app 150 degrees. Each of the arms is attached to its base via round head bolts tht would date the pieces to ca. Apparently an early janitor was not aware of this when 2 arms were no longer stationary and he put solder at the bases... Simply tightening the bolt makes them stationary.

There are minor bends in the cast arms with no cracks or repairs or losses; the spun brass candle cups hold 7/8 tapers.
