When vintage will not do and antique is a must. Hard to put a date on these. I do know it is after 1891 due to the marking of "France" on the bottom. I seen others similar to these dated earlier. The marking "France" is hand carved on the bottom which makes you wonder why they did not simply machine grind into it.

The pair is not perfect. There is a missing flower cap and a crack in a barrel that was repaired at one time. Both are shown in the last photos.

The labra are decorated with grapes and vines. The drip pan has gematric pattern that leads up to a fern style scone. The marble is a reddish and pinkish swirl with fingers of white. All porched on pedestal feet. Both are identical style and size and are a true pair.
