Candlesticks, 19th C. French Gilt Brass

Pair of large outstanding 19th Century French cast bronze & brass candle sticks with both having one brass cup on the top for inserting a candle. They have the factory original gold plate finish and they have never been painted. They are decorated with grape bunches, grape leaves, wheat & wheat leaves & they are lush & full with these decorations. They are nonreligious with no cross, etc.

The bronze bases are finely cast with aqua enamel on both sides of the urn like handles & on one flower each on the front of the bases. Some of the decorations have darkened slightly with age which gives them a rich antique color but they are mostly a bright gold color & they are showy.

There are no missing decorations or parts & they have no repairs. They are in excellent original condition with no breaks or cracks. They are unsigned & without any markings. They measure 39 1/2" tall, 15" wide & 7 deep. The item "Candlesticks, 19th C.
