Antique HUGE 12.5 inch PRIMITIVE HOGSCRAPER Iron Brass CANDLESTICK HOLDER AAFA. A fancy and rare, large iron hogscraper type candlestick holder. Likely dates from late 18th to early 19th century America or England.

Features a decorative brass knop half way up the iron shaft and a hanging hook on top. Measures a very large 12.5. Many pig scraper candlesticks are about half this size. This was evidently a very fancy and likely expensive, luxury candlestick holder. It seems that the surface has been lightly treated with wax, a common and recommended preserver for antique iron.
