Antique Brass Frame & Lion Beveled Oval Mirror Triple Candle Holder Wall Sconce

This is a great wall sconce mirror featuring a brass frame with two lions heads at both the top and bottom. There are three candle holders underneath. While I can't find a maker's mark or date on it, I think it might be a Bradley & Hubbard from the late 1800s. Alternatively, it may be English.

This is 17 1/2" tall and is 11 3/8" wide. The visible portion of the beveled oval mirror is 9 1/4" by 7 3/8".

This is a very solid 5 lbs. I think this is in great shape, but there are some minor imperfections that one might expect of something of this age. 1 There are some etched numbers on the back of the frame that I presume were part of a theft identification program put there by a previous owner (you may or may not see this in the last image). 2 I see a very fine line in the mirror of about 3/8 in length which I think must be on the back surface of the mirror because I can't feel it. This is not readily noticeable (to me) and I had to look for it again when I wrote that last sentence. 3 There is some fogginess in the mirror - primarily on the right side that was greatly accentuated by the photography.

You can see this in some of the images. 4 Most notably, I see that a portion of the middle candle holder had been removed (see fifth image); call me blind, but it took me awhile before I even noticed that - I only first noticed it when this was laying on its back on my desk with each of the candle holders pointed directly at me. Prior to that, I hadn't even noticed it. To me, it's not something that detracts from this piece.

And yet, it's there, so make that determination for yourself. Please refer to the images to form your own conclusions about cosmetic condition. Your opinions take precedence over any subjective opinion of mine. I have not cleaned anything other than the mirror. You might want to clean to your own liking, including more of the mirror along the frame's edge. Note that there is a glare or reflection in the lower right corner of the mirror in the fifth image; that is not a defect on the mirror, but either a glare or reflection.
